Two minor girls escaped a suspected kidnapping attempt in Nalgonda district after jumping out of a moving auto-rickshaw. The driver allegedly changed their route from Nakrekal towards Inupamula Gutta, prompting the girls to suspect danger. Both sustained injuries and were taken to a government hospital. Nakrekal police registered a case and launched an investigation.

NALGONDA: Two minor girls escaped an alleged kidnapping attempt in Telangana’s Nalgonda district by jumping out of a moving auto-rickshaw after suspecting the driver’s intentions, according to the information provided.

The girls had hired the auto in Nakrekal to travel to Utkoor village in Shaligouraram mandal. Although the driver initially agreed to take them to their destination, he allegedly changed the route and headed towards Inupamula Gutta in Kethepally mandal.

Suspicion Arises During the Journey

During the journey, the girls reportedly overheard the driver speaking to another person over the phone. He allegedly said that he had two minor girls with him and asked the other person to come to Inupamula Gutta.

Suspecting that they might be in danger, the girls decided to escape. They jumped out of the moving auto, drawing the attention of passers-by, who came forward to help them.

Injured Girls Hospitalised

Both girls sustained injuries in the incident and were taken to a government hospital for treatment. Their decision to jump from the vehicle helped them get away from the situation they feared.

Police Begin Investigation

Nakrekal police registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident. Further details about the driver and the circumstances surrounding the alleged kidnapping attempt are awaited.
