CJP Founder Abhijeet Dipke Accuses Delhi Police of Denying Lawyer Access, Questions 3:30 AM Arrest Call

SatyaMevaJayate Telugu•11 October 2026 at 01:59 pm•0 views•2 min read

CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke has accused the Delhi Police of refusing his requests to contact his cousin and lawyer after he learned of his grandmother’s death. He also questioned why he was asked to inform his parents about his arrest at 3:30 AM and vowed to continue protests. The police response to his allegations was not included in his statement.

New Delhi: Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke has levelled serious allegations against the Delhi Police, claiming that he was denied access to his phone and was not allowed to contact his lawyer after being informed of his grandmother’s death.
According to Dipke’s account, police personnel informed him that his grandmother had passed away due to health-related issues. He said he requested permission to use his phone briefly to contact his cousin, who lived with his grandmother in their village, to understand the circumstances surrounding her death. However, he alleged that police refused his request and asked him to provide the contact number instead.
Dipke claimed that he could not recall the number from memory and reiterated his request to retrieve it from his phone. He further alleged that he was not allowed to contact his lawyer, raising concerns about his access to legal assistance.
Questions Over Late-Night Arrest Notification
Dipke also questioned the police decision to ask him to inform his parents about his arrest at around 3:30 AM. He alleged that his family had not been informed earlier about his arrest or his whereabouts.
He said his parents were already distressed by the death of his grandmother and criticised the timing of the call, questioning why the information had not been communicated during the day or at a more appropriate hour.
According to Dipke, police personnel described the call as part of a legal procedure. He challenged that explanation and questioned the circumstances in which the procedure was carried out.
Vows to Continue Protests
In his statement, Dipke strongly criticised the Delhi Police and accused Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi of fostering what he described as an atmosphere of authoritarianism. He said he would continue protesting and would not be intimidated by arrest or imprisonment.
Dipke also stated that he had not signed any bond and vowed to return to the streets to oppose what he called dictatorship.
The allegations reflect Dipke’s account of the incident. Independent confirmation of the specific claims, the police’s response, and the legal circumstances surrounding his arrest was not included in the statement provided.
